Unlike other service centers that claim to be Nakamichi authorized, we are currently and have been since 1975, giving us priority availability to the most up-to-date service information and parts. Servicing Nakamichi cassette decks is not just our job, it's a serious commitment to excellence. Most other servicers just do the fix to make it work and don't care about the rest of the machine or it's reliability. Some don't even take the time to replace all the worn or dried-out rubber belts, reel idler and pressure rollers. If asked, they will say "it's not necessary and only needed a cleaning". Although, it will make for a much less costly job, it is not the proper service procedure! It might "work" but not for long and certainly not perfectly. Taking into consideration the age of most classic Nakamichi cassette decks, 10 to 30 years old, we would rather NOT perform "band-aid" or partial service unless the customer insists. If you wish, we can and will do less for less but you get your money's worth for best. Our goal is to restore each machine into it's best proper working condition and ensure peak performance with continued reliability for another lifetime.
